Tummy time for baby
I feel very lucky to be able to stay home and care for my child in this day and age. However, starting over at age 37 has been very hard for me,seems I have forgotten all the milestones of when my baby should be rolling over, crawling, cooing, eating solids ect. So,I started reading up on the subject and taking in all the advice I could get.I was afraid my daughter was getting behind for she hated tummy time and I know how important tummy time is!! I have placed toys in front of her, gotten down on the floor with her ect....and nothing works at all.I have decided that all babies are different and maybe she is just not ready for this yet.I never rushed things with my other two who are now 12 and 9 years old and they both turned out just fine. So,my advice would be to take your time with your baby.He/she will hit the milestones when they are ready.I still give her tummy time by placing her on me and she likes that better.I will still continue each day placing her on a playmat for tummy time (as they do change each day)but refuse to worry just yet if she refuses to stay on her tummy. We just keep trying and enjoy each day with her!!! I just love her smile!!
